GUEST BATHROOM MAKEOVER

When it came to giving our small guest bathroom a refresh, we decided to fully embrace its windowless layout and lean into the drama. Instead of fighting the lack of natural light, I went all in on a dark, moody look that feels rich and inviting—proof that small spaces can still make a big impact.

The star of the room is the Lovers Forest wallpaper in Midnight from Rebel Walls. Its deep, woodland pattern instantly adds depth and character, turning this once-plain space into a little jewel box. To complement the wallpaper, we carried the mood through the lower half of the room with board and batten painted in Benjamin Moore Durango, a stylish neutral with warm golden olive undertones. The pairing creates a layered, cozy atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and slightly whimsical.

Our Brockway sink from Kohler keeps the space grounded and simple, while the terracotta floor tile brings timeless warmth underfoot—a feature we’ve loved since we first moved in. Fun fact: we actually attempted a mini spruce-up of this bathroom back in 2021 during the pandemic, but this latest update with the wallpaper is what finally pulled the entire vision together.

This makeover proves that moody doesn’t mean dreary. With the right mix of pattern, colour, and texture, even a small, windowless bathroom can feel like a design statement all its own.
