This Christmas I wanted our home to feel truly nostalgic, leaning into the warmth of traditional reds and timeless touches that never go out of style. Nothing feels quite right without a real tree, and with our tall ceilings, a real tree simply feels magical. This year we found one that reached nearly 12 feet high, a showstopper that immediately set the tone for the season.

I kept the tree rustic and whimsical, wrapping it in natural grapevine for a woodsy feel while adding pops of red ornaments and delicate florals for a unique and charming twist. The combination of rough textures and soft, festive accents created the perfect balance between natural and nostalgic.

Throughout the house, I layered in faux garlands, which remain one of my favourite Christmas investments. Quality greenery lasts for years and always feels timeless. Ribbons, bells and touches of gold were sprinkled in for that extra bit of sparkle. Mini wreaths became a running theme displayed on doors, chairs , mirrors and little nooks for a sense of continuity and cheer.

Even our primary bedroom received a holiday refresh with subtle greenery and small decorative touches. I love how these little details bring the magic of Christmas into every corner of our home, making it feel warm, collected and deeply personal.

This year’s decorations celebrate the joy of tradition while still feeling fresh and welcoming. A perfect blend of old-world nostalgia and rustic charm that makes the season feel truly special.
